Descrição:JNJ-678 is a novel antiviral drug that inhibits the spread of influenza A virus by disrupting the polymerase chain reaction. JNJ-678 has been shown to inhibit the replication of pandemic influenza A and B viruses in cell culture and syncytial virus infection in laboratory animals. It is not reactive with cells, but it does react with free amino groups on proteins, which may account for its low toxicity. The antiviral activity of JNJ-678 is dependent on its concentration in plasma and time. In addition, JNJ-678 is eliminated from the body at a rate that is proportional to its plasma concentration.
