Informação sobre produto
The 4-methylbenzo[b]thiophen-3-yl)methanol is an inhibitor of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. It has been shown to bind to the active site of acetylcholinesterase, preventing the breakdown of acetylcholine and leading to increased levels in the brain, which can result in death. The alkyl group is bonded to the 4-position on the benzothiophene ring. The methyl group is bonded at the 3-position on the benzothiophene ring. Dimethylacetamide is a solvent used for both chiral and non-chiral reactions.
