Descrição:2-(4-Bromobenzoyl)benzoic acid (BBBA) is a potent cytotoxic agent that inhibits the growth of cancer cells. BBBA binds to amines and forms Schiff bases with them, which prevents the cells from making DNA, RNA, and protein. BBBA also has anti-proliferative effects on human breast cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. These effects are due to its ability to inhibit cell growth by blocking the synthesis of cellular components. BBBA was shown to be effective against line MFC-7 cells, which were resistant to glycol.
