Descrição

L-Monapterin is an analog of neopterin, a protein found in human urine that is associated with tumor growth and cancer progression. This compound has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of kinases, which are enzymes involved in cell signaling pathways that regulate cell growth and survival. L-Monapterin has demonstrated anticancer activity in Chinese hamster ovary cells and has been shown to induce apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in cancer cells. This compound may have potential as an anticancer agent due to its ability to inhibit the activity of kinases and promote cancer cell death.
