This compound reacts with hydrochloric acid to form hydrogen fluoride and pyrrole monosulfonic acid, which exhibits anti-inflammatory properties. The particle size distribution of this compound has been found to be between 1 and 10 micrometers in diameter and it is highly soluble in polycarboxylic acids like oxalic acid or maleic acid. Pyrrolidine-2-thione also has high reactivity with aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene, toluene, and xylene.
