Strontium 2-ethylhexanoate is a perovskite material that has been used in the preparation of ferroelectric thin films. It is prepared by hydrolyzing strontium 2-ethylhexanoate with an organic solvent and then precipitating it at room temperature. The film's microstructural, optical, and morphological properties depend on the conditions of preparation and the post-treatment of the film. Annealing the film at 900°C for 10 minutes results in an increase in its ferroelectric constant from 3.2 to 5.5 and a decrease in its dielectric loss from 0.06 to 0.03, making it more suitable for use in electronic devices such as memory chips or sensors.
