Methyl 14-methylhexadecanoate is a compound that belongs to the class of branched-chain fatty acids. It has been shown to have deodorizing properties in ryegrass and other plants. Methyl 14-methylhexadecanoate is an alpha, omega-diol with a molecular weight of 256.3 g/mol. It is composed of 14 carbon atoms and 16 hydrogen atoms, with a single methyl group at the omega position on one end of the molecule. It has a melting point of 74°C and boiling point of 275°C.
