5-Ethyl-2-methoxyphenol is a chemical compound that belongs to the phenylacetonitrile family. It has been found to produce an increase in noradrenaline levels in diabetic patients. 5-Ethyl-2-methoxyphenol has been shown to have antioxidant properties and can be used as a silicon substitute for glass.
