Descrição:4-Methoxy-1H-benzimidazole is a tautomer of 1,2,4-benzotriazole. It is a stimulator of protein synthesis and has been shown to be an inhibitor of the transcriptional activity of interferon genes. 4-Methoxy-1H-benzimidazole has also been shown to inhibit some cancers in vitro. It works by binding to protein receptors and inhibiting the production of the enzyme that produces DNA. This leads to cancer cell death by preventing the production of proteins vital for cell division.
