It has been shown to have anti-cancer effects by inhibiting the activity of trypsin-like proteases and kinases involved in tumor cell growth and survival. PQR626 induces apoptosis in cancer cells and has been investigated as a potential treatment for various types of cancer, including Chinese hamster ovary cells and prostate cancer. This compound also shows promise as an inhibitor of rifampicin-induced urinary excretion, which may increase the bioavailability of other drugs.
