Informação sobre produto
Ethyl 3-chloro-2-cyano-4,4,4-trifluorobut-2-enoate (ETC) is a synthetic chemical that is used as a reagent for the asymmetric synthesis of benzoates. This compound has been shown to have biological properties in the form of enzyme activities and cationic surfactant properties. ETC has also been used as an activated caproic acid polymerase chain reaction (PCR) primer in gene amplification experiments. The carbonyl group on the molecule can be converted into a fatty acid by lipase enzymes, which may provide insight into its biological functions.
