Descrição:Oxadixyl is a cardiac drug that belongs to the group of copper complexes. It is used in the treatment of congestive heart failure and angina pectoris. Oxadixyl has been shown to be effective in experimental models of myocardial infarct, as well as in preventing metabolic disorders caused by ischemia-reperfusion injury. The mechanism for this drug's action may be due to its ability to inhibit the oxidation of lipids, proteins and nucleic acids during ischemia reperfusion, thereby protecting against oxidative stress.
