3,5-Dichloro-1H-pyrrole-2,4-dicarbaldehyde (3,5-DCP) is a reactive pyrrole that is synthesized from 2,4-dichlorobenzaldehyde and 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene. It reacts with amines to form substituted pyrroles. 3,5-DCP has been used in the synthesis of various functional groups such as heterocycles and pyrrole derivatives. This compound has also been shown to be an anti-proliferative agent against human keratinocyte cells.
