JWH-182 is a synthetic cannabinoid that belongs to the class of cannabinoids. It is chemically similar to Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the main psychoactive component in marijuana. JWH-182 has been shown to have potent locomotor activity, and induces long-term toxicity in mice. It also produces genotoxic effects in primary cells and increases blood pressure when administered to humans.
