Epitinib succinate is a potent and selective inhibitor of human epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase, which is overexpressed in many types of cancer. This Chinese analog of the anticancer drug Gefitinib has been shown to inhibit tumor growth and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. Epitinib succinate selectively inhibits EGFR kinases by binding to the ATP-binding site, leading to inhibition of downstream signaling pathways that promote cell proliferation and survival.
