Potassium phenoxymethyltrifluoroborate is a potent inhibitor of leucine aminopeptidase. It has been shown to inhibit the enzyme in vitro, with a KI value of 1.4 × 10 M. This compound binds to the pyridine ring and prevents the amino acid from binding to the active site of the enzyme. The inhibition of leucine aminopeptidase is reversible and competitive.
