• Descrição: LGALS1 is a cytokine that is secreted by macrophages in response to LPS, IL-1 and TNF. This cytokine has been shown to promote the secretion of inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-6, IL-8 and TNF-α. LGALS1 is also involved in the recruitment of neutrophils and monocytes to sites of inflammation. LGALS1 has been shown to be involved in regulating the expression of proteins that are involved in cell signaling pathways, including NF-κB and MAPK.
