1-Methoxy-2-naphthylamine is a synthetic carcinogen that has been shown to be an animal carcinogen. There is evidence for the carcinogenicity of 1-Methoxy-2-naphthylamine in humans and it is classified as a Group 2A carcinogen (probably carcinogenic to humans). It has been shown to induce mammary gland neoplasms in rats, and there are reports of renal cell tumors in humans. 1-Methoxy-2-naphthylamine is excreted from the body through the urine and feces, but its primary route of exposure is through oral ingestion.
