The orientation of 16:0 Monomethyl PE molecules was found to be dependent on temperature, with a greater degree of ordering at lower temperatures. Diffraction patterns obtained from 16:0 Monomethyl PE revealed that it had a molecular shape similar to that of phosphatidylethanolamine, with a radius of curvature of 13 Å.
