Informação sobre produto
Tris(3,5-dimethyl-1-pyrazolyl)methane (TMP) is a coordination compound with the formula [Pt(CH)(CN)]. The compound is mononuclear and crystallizes in the tetragonal space group P4/nmm. It has a redox potential of -0.44 V, which makes it an excellent reducing agent. TMP also shows thermochromism, changing from orange to purple with increasing temperature. This color change is due to the interaction of the acetonitrile ligands with the metal center. TMP has been shown to have carbonyl ligands that interact with the metal center by electrochemical methods. Crystal x-ray diffraction studies show that this coordination compound has an unsymmetrical geometry and can be classified in Group 2, according to its electron count on the central atom.
