Informação sobre produto
- Butanoic acid, 4-amino-4-oxo-, ethyl ester
Succinamic acid ethyl ester is a matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor that inhibits the activity of matrix metalloproteinases, which are enzymes that break down the extracellular matrix. Succinamic acid ethyl ester has been shown to inhibit type IV collagenase and gelatinase, two of the most important enzymes involved in tissue remodeling. This agent may be useful for the treatment of inflammatory diseases, cancer, and autoimmune diseases. Succinamic acid ethyl ester also acts as a modulator of insulin resistance and may be used to treat diabetes mellitus. Succinamic acid ethyl ester binds to an amide-binding site on the receptor binding domain of insulin receptor with high affinity. It also inhibits pro-inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and IL-1β.
