Informação sobre produto
- 2-(2-bromophenyl)-1H-isoindole-1,3(2H)-dione
- N-(3-Bromophenyl)Maleimide
1-(3-Bromophenyl)-1H-pyrrole-2,5-dione (3BP) is a potent and selective inhibitor of fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH). FAAH is an enzyme that breaks down the endocannabinoid anandamide. The ability to inhibit FAAH may be useful for treating pain, as well as other conditions such as obesity, anxiety, depression, or addiction. 3BP was found to have a high IC50 value and also showed good selectivity against other enzymes which break down fatty acids. It has been shown that 3BP inhibits the activity of FAAH in rat brain homogenates by binding to the enzyme's active site. This inhibition leads to an increase in levels of the endocannabinoid anandamide.
