Olmutinib is a small molecule that inhibits the activity of the protein kinase AXL, which is a key regulator of T-cell activation. It has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in animal models and may be effective against other cancers as well as autoimmune diseases. Olmutinib has also been shown to inhibit the proliferation of rat liver microsomes and stabilize complexes with low potency. The LC-MS/MS method used to identify the protein target of olmutinib was based on stable complexes with low potency. This method can be used for the development of new drugs that target this protein kinase.
