5-Methoxy-2-phenyl-1H-imidazole is an organic ligand that can be used in supramolecular chemistry. 5-Methoxy-2-phenyl-1H-imidazole is a small molecule with a molecular weight of 188.26 Da. This compound has been shown to have high thermal stability, and can be used as a ligand in coordination chemistry. The crystal structure of this compound was determined using single crystal XRD diffraction, and showed that the compound adopts a T shape with two hydrogen bonds between the methoxy group and the imidazole ring.
