1H-Pyrrolo[3,2-b]pyridine-2,3-dione is a potentiator of the immune system that has shown to be effective in the treatment of tuberculosis. It is also used to treat autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis. 1H-Pyrrolo[3,2-b]pyridine-2,3-dione enhances the synthesis of dopamine and acetylcholine, which are neurotransmitters important for cognitive function and muscle contraction. 1H-Pyrrolo[3,2-b]pyridine-2,3-dione also blocks syncytial virus infection by inhibiting viral protein synthesis. This drug can be used in the treatment of congestive heart failure and cancer due to its ability to inhibit tumor cell proliferation.
