Informação sobre produto
2-Oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline-7-carbonitrile is an inhibitor of the enzyme dopamine decarboxylase. It has been shown to have antipsychotic effects and is used in the treatment of schizophrenia. This drug inhibits the conversion of dopamine to norepinephrine and serotonin, which are chemicals that are important for healthy brain function. 2-Oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline-7-carbonitrile also has neuroprotective effects and may be useful in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. The two enantiomers are not equally potent as inhibitors of dopamine decarboxylase and should not be interchanged on a milligram per milligram basis.
