Descrição:Osilodrostat is a drug that inhibits the activity of 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (11β-HSD1). It inhibits the conversion of cortisol to cortisone, which leads to an increase in cortisol levels. This drug has been shown to be effective in treating adrenocortical carcinoma by inhibiting the production of cortisol. Osilodrostat has a long half-life and may have therapeutic benefits in patients with congestive heart failure or renal disease. The drug also has anti-inflammatory properties, which can reduce the production of proinflammatory cytokines such as epidermal growth factor and aldosterone.
