(R)-5,5'-Bis(diphenylphosphino)-2,2,2',2'-tetrafluoro-4,4'-bi-1,3-benzodioxole is an organophosphorus compound that has been shown to be a potent cholinesterase inhibitor. It is used in environmental pollution studies and in the synthesis of organic compounds. The reaction yield can be increased by using a pyridinium as a catalyst. This compound reacts with an aryl halide to form an electron deficient carbenoid species. The (R)-enantiomer of this compound is also known for its ability to react with β-amino acids to form chiral derivatives.
