Informação sobre produto
9-Benzyl-1-oxa-9-azaspiro[5.5]undecan-4-yl methanesulfonate (BMS) is a cephalosporin antibiotic that has potent antiinflammatory activity. It is also an epoxide hydrolase inhibitor, which blocks the conversion of the prodrug to its biologically active form and inhibits inflammation by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins. BMS binds to human epoxide hydrolase in vitro, with an inhibitory potency of 5 nM (IC50). The drug has been shown to be orally bioavailable in animal models and has a pharmacokinetic profile that supports oral administration as a possible route for treatment of inflammatory conditions.
