2,2-Dimethyl-1,3-propanediol dibenzoate is an organic compound that belongs to the group of polylactic acid esters. It is a colorless oily liquid with a pleasant odor and mild taste. 2,2-Dimethyl-1,3-propanediol dibenzoate is used as a plasticizer in polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It can also be used as an activator for calcium stearate and calcium carbonate. This product has been shown to have low toxicity in animal studies. The melting point of this product is between 120°C and 130°C.
