Informação sobre produto
6-Aminonaphthalen-2-ol is a reactive metabolite of naphthalene that can be found in the urine. Hydrogen peroxide and an amine, such as acetylcholine or histamine, are required for the formation of 6-aminonaphthalen-2-ol from naphthalene. It is believed to be carcinogenic because it can form DNA adducts and lead to tumor formation. The production of this metabolite is increased by sulfation and amination reactions. 6-Aminonaphthalen-2-ol is conjugated with glucuronic acid before being excreted in the bile.
