Informação sobre produto
3-(4-Methyl Phenyl) Pyridine is a cross-coupling reaction that involves the formation of C-N bonds by the coupling of two molecules. This reaction is catalyzed by palladium complexes and requires a phosphine, such as triphenylphosphine (PPh), as a ligand. The reactants are typically an activated chloride, such as chloroethane or dichloromethane, and a pyridine, such as piperidine. The reaction proceeds through two stages: deprotonation followed by coordination to the palladium catalyst. In the first stage, an organic base reacts with the chloride to form an organometallic intermediate that then undergoes deprotonation with base to generate a reactive species that can couple with the pyridine. In the second stage, the reactive species coordinates to palladium and then reacts with pyridine forming a new C-N bond.
