• Descrição: Diethyl meso-2,5-dibromoadipate is a cationic polymer that is used in the synthesis of poly(ethylene oxide) and poly(propylene oxide) polymers. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to the bacterial membrane and altering its permeability. This results in an increase in osmotic pressure inside the cell, which leads to cell death. Diethyl meso-2,5-dibromoadipate also has antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Clostridium perfringens.
