This reaction can be catalyzed by palladium and trihalogenated compounds. The intramolecular amination of 1-BOC 7-Chloroindole produces a bond between the benzene ring and nitrogen atom. The product formed is 2,3-dihydrobenzofuran, which has been shown to be a potent insecticide against mosquitoes and other insects.br>br>
