PRGL493 is a synthetic peptide that binds to the ion channel TRPC1 and inhibits its activity. It is used as a research tool in pharmacology, cell biology, and protein interactions. PRGL493 has been shown to inhibit the activation of TRPC1 by calcium ions, thereby inhibiting calcium-dependent signaling pathways. This drug also binds to and inhibits the function of other ion channels such as TRPC4, TRPV2, TRPV3, TRPM8, and TRPA1. PRGL493 is supplied as a lyophilized powder at 5mg per vial.
