Informação sobre produto
2-Aminopyridine is a compound that has been studied in biological systems. It is a covalent molecule with two amine groups and one pyridine group. 2-Aminopyridine has an ester hydrochloride salt form, which is soluble in water. The x-ray crystal structure of 2-aminopyridine was determined using human serum as the solvent. 2-Aminopyridine has been shown to be active against infectious diseases, such as malaria and leishmaniasis, through its ability to inhibit the synthesis of nucleic acids. This activity was found using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and Langmuir adsorption isotherms. 2-Aminopyridine also interacts with dextran sulfate by hydrogen bonding interactions, and can be used for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by Clostridium perfringens and Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
