It has also been shown to have antiviral properties in tissue culture. This chemical compound is chemically stable and has been shown to be safe in human lymphocytes. [(2S,4S,5R)-5-(6-Aminopurin-9-Yl)-4-Fluorooxolan-2-Yl]Methyl (Hydroxy-Phosphonooxyphosphoryl) Hydrogen Phosphate inhibits the synthesis of DNA and RNA by binding to the template strand of DNA or the messenger RNA sequence. The drug binds to both single stranded and double stranded DNA
