Informação sobre produto
4-Amino-5-bromonicotinic acid is a nicotinic acid derivative that is used as a reagent in the chemical industry, mainly for hydrogenolysis and hydrochlorination. It is an alkaline compound that can be used to neutralize wastewater, which contains halogenated organic compounds. 4-Amino-5-bromonicotinic acid eliminates industrial waste containing halides by reacting with acids to form salts of boric acid. It reacts with hydrogen sulfide or sulfur dioxide to form boron oxide, which precipitates out of solution. 4-Amino-5-bromonicotinic acid also reacts with chlorine gas to form chlorobenzoic acid, which is a white crystalline solid that can be isolated from the reaction mixture.
