Quinoline-2-carboxylic acid, 2-amino-5-methylphenyl ester is a quinoline derivative that has been synthesized from the reaction of 2-aminophenol with bromoacetyl chloride. It is used as a starting material for the synthesis of other organic compounds and pharmaceuticals. Quinoline derivatives are acidic, which can be seen in the yields obtained from the reaction.
