N3-Allyluridine is a drug that belongs to the group of pharmacological agents. It has been shown to have an effect on the central nervous system. N3-Allyluridine binds to benzodiazepine receptors, which are membrane proteins that modulate synaptic transmission in the brain. Binding of N3-Allyluridine to these receptors has been shown to produce anxiolytic effects. Diazepam, a benzodiazepine receptor agonist, has been used as a positive control for this study. The dose-dependent effect was mediated by the receptor binding and interaction with other ligands.
