Allyl triphenylphosphoniumchloride is a monomer that belongs to the group of organic compounds. It is an all-trans-retinoic acid derivative with a chloride substituent. The thermal expansion coefficient of this compound is significantly lower than that of retinoic acid. This property makes it an excellent candidate for use as a polymerization monomer in the production of organic solvent-based polymers or films. Allyl triphenylphosphoniumchloride has also been shown to react with hydrogen fluoride, chlorine atom, and peroxide.
