Descrição:
4-Acetamido-1-benzylpiperidine is a 4-hydroxycoumarin derivative that is potent inhibitor of the enzyme butyrylcholinesterase. It has been shown to cause the death of cells in culture by inhibiting the production of proteins vital for cell division. 4-Acetamido-1-benzylpiperidine has also been shown to inhibit amine oxidases and linkers, which are enzymes that maintain the integrity of protein molecules. This drug has also been shown to be an effective inhibitor of Alzheimer's disease, which may be due to its ability to inhibit cholinesterase activity.
