• Descrição: Allo-3a-tetrahydro cortisol (ATHC) is a synthetic form of the hormone cortisol that has been modified to be more stable in vivo. It can be used to supplement cortisol levels when the body does not produce enough on its own or when there is an adrenal tumor or other cause for low cortisol production. ATHC has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties, as well as reduce body mass index, lower blood pressure, and improve symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome. This drug also increases glomerular filtration rate and was found to be safe in clinical trials. However, ATHC should not be administered with estradiol benzoate due to the risk of liver damage.
