Descrição:Altrenogest is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that inhibits ovulation and follicular growth. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of estrus and other conditions associated with cyclic ovarian activity. Altrenogest binds to the α subunit of the estrogen receptor, which prevents estradiol benzoate from binding to this receptor. This results in decreased estrogen activity and reduced ovarian activity. The drug can be detected by fluorescence probe, which is sensitive enough to detect altrenogest in blood samples.
