Descrição:4-Amino-3-fluorobenzoic acid (4AFB) is an inhibitor of the enzyme nitric oxide synthase. It has been shown to inhibit chronic inflammation by reducing blood pressure and inhibiting the production of reactive oxygen species that can cause damage to cells in the body. 4AFB is a competitive inhibitor of nitric oxide synthase, which prevents the production of nitric oxide from L-arginine. Nitric oxide is an important signaling molecule in the nervous system, and its inhibition may lead to hyperpolarization of the membrane, which can have therapeutic benefits for certain conditions.
