Informação sobre produto
Anhydrooxytetracycline is a tetracycline antibiotic that was first synthesized in 1967. It is structurally similar to oxytetracycline, but has substantially reduced water solubility. Anhydrooxytetracycline inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit and preventing protein synthesis. The compound also binds to calcium carbonate, which may be due to its ability to form an ion-pair complex with the anionic surface of the mineral. Anhydrooxytetracycline has been shown to have a protective effect against acute lung injury. This may be due to its ability to modulate inflammatory responses and inhibit pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-8, and TNFα.
