Descrição:Aluminium Molybdate is a compound that is used as an inhibitor of corrosion. It is typically used in reaction vessels, such as those that are exposed to hydrochloric acid. The Molybdenum and Magnesium salt present in this compound form a layer of Aluminium Molybdate on the surface of the metal, which inhibits corrosion by blocking the release of hydroxyl ions. The addition of thermal energy can cause this layer to react with water, generating heat and increasing the rate of corrosion inhibition.
