9-Anthracenylboronic acid is a synthetic chemical substance and an aryl boronic acid. It has been used in the synthesis of palladium complexes. 9-Anthracenylboronic acid has been shown to react with biphenyl and form an intermediate, which is then reacted with a base and quinone to form the desired product. 9-Anthracenylboronic acid can be used for the Suzuki coupling reaction, which produces an organic compound from two other organic compounds, such as an aryl boronic acid and a phenyl ring. The optical properties of 9-anthraceneboronic acid have been studied by fluorescence resonance techniques.
