The Friedel-Crafts reaction with biphenol leads to the formation of acetophenone. In addition, acetophenone can be obtained by radiation chemical stability and hydrophobic effect. Acetophenone forms amide bonds with chlorine atoms and carbonyl groups with oxygen atoms.
