Acid green 25 is a green dye that has a pH of 3.5 and is used for wastewater treatment. It can be adsorbed onto sodium carbonate, which is an acidic salt, at high temperatures. The uptake of Acid green 25 depends on the concentration of the dye and the temperature. The kinetic data of this process was found to be linear with respect to time. Adsorption also depends on the ionic strength of the solution, which can be increased by adding magnesium salt to the solution. The optimum concentration for Acid green 25 adsorption onto sodium carbonate is 10 mg/L, with a maximum adsorption capacity at 20 mg/L.
